I'm debating whether to upgrade to a GTX 1070 as my GTX 780 STRIX 6GB is getting a little outdated now.

I recently managed to buy an i7 4790 (non-K) for £165 and was wondering if the GTX 1070 would go well with the i7 4790?

I want to achieve 60+ FPS on Battlefield 1 & 4 and possibly GTA V on Ultra settings.

Hell yea its a great match, it will perform amazing, as the i7 4790 is a high end cpu
It will surely perform better than your expectations
Even more than good for the 1080

I am using GTX 1080 Ti on 4770k so you are good.
Unless you are playing on resolution lower then 1080p (hardly doubt so) you are good. 1440p and above resolution and processor matters even less.

Very descriptive answer, thank you for the information.
