Seriously asking, Nvidia killed the 1660 ti? When I first got my pc with this card I was happy cause I was getting a card with similar performance as a 1070... FF to now and 1660 super, rtx 2060, RX 5600 XT are much better choices than the 1660 ti cause of price and blah blah blah. So I'm just asking is 1660 ti DEAD because of the 1660 super , rtx 2060 price drop 50$ and the release of Rx 5600xt killed the gtx 1660 ti making it obsolete?

I wouldn't say it's obsolete. It is about 3-5% faster than the 1660 super which is the card I bought. When I looked and the performance % was so small, I didn't want to justify money for the 1660 ti. However, you notice how quickly prices dropped on the 2060 for example. You almost have to think nvidia was price gouging people until there was more competition.

I would say, I just looked on ebay under completed items. It appears the 1660 ti used is going for about 200-230ish US dollars. I found that by searching 1660 ti, and checking completed items.

If you wanted, I suppose you could sell your card as used. You'd take a bit of a hit on it, but then that would let you put a few bucks more with what you get for it, and buy a better card like a 5600 xt or a 2060. Or try to enjoy the card a while. At least on my 1660 super, for 1080p, it's not bad. I can see myself upgrading maybe in the next year sometime possibly. But it's decent for 1080p and even relatively high refresh rates say maybe around 100hz. Probably depends on the game. Been playing Battlefield 1 and about to subscribe to Origin Access so I can play battlefield 5.

Maybe? Think about it, how did they magically drop the prices of the 2060 by 50 bucks? Or release a 1660 super for 50 dollars less than a ti that they knew would cut into the ti sales? Just observing.

Not that AMD is necessarily innocent. They used to be more value oriented and seem to be happy to fall in the nvidia pricing now.

The RX5600XT alone wouldn't kill it, nor would the 2060. They're both a higher tier of performance.

Even if there was some, say, 5600 Lite that equaled 1660Ti performance, it wouldn't kill the 1660Ti unless it notably undercut the price. It's simply competition.

The 1660 Super, now, yeah, once it came out, that seems kind of like it make the 1660Ti a purchase that can't be recommended. The price premium for the 1660Ti over the Super is way to much for the minimal performance difference.

It's a good card - I just wouldn't buy one new, unless it was brought down to about the same price as the 1660 Super.

Yeah other countries the price difference is around 50$ here it's 20$ but the reason I'm including the 2060 and 5600xt is cause they are similarly priced

I know they dropped the 2060 price for Rx 5600 XT clearly AMD is attacking Nvidia
