Is the GTX 670 enough for VR?

I currently have EVGA GTX 670 and I want to find out if it's enough for VR, I'll most likely overclock to it's limit since I have it watercooled in my loop and I'm not too concerned with heat. My current specs are;
i5-2500k
EVGA GTX 670
2x4GB Kingston Fury HyperX RAM
Corsair CX600

I'm not sure what I'll be playing in VR, propably typical games, nothing crazy. So I'm looking at average VR games specs.

Solution
If you're looking for a low cost VR card find a used GTX 970.
If you don't want used then get the GTX 1060 or RX 580.

These cards can run VR.
GTX 970, 980, 980Ti
GTX 1060, 1070, 1070Ti, 1080, 1080Ti
RX480, 580

I got a friend who has GTX 970, similar cpu, i5 2500 but 4GB of RAM, and he only gets 35-45 fps more than me in csgo at 1080p when we play together, and I see that GTX 970 is the minimum requiment in most of VR games on steam for exmaple Skyfront, and obviously minimum requiment is not the best but if I overclock my GTX 670, wouden't it be better than stock GTX 970 that for exmaple my friend has? I'll try overclocking it now to the most stable clock I can get it and I'll see if it's capable of anything crazy since I never overclocked it as I never had the need to.

A stock 970 is about 50% percent faster than a stock 670. In no known universe can a water cooled over clocked 670 beat a 970. You are quite simply reaching. Get a used 970 and over clock it. you can find some on ebay for 200 bucks or less.
