So yeah.
I need to know Is the Nvidia GTX 950 Windforce OC compatible with the Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3.
Processor- Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz
PSU-SeaSonic 500W 80+ Bronze SS-500ET
Motherboard- Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3
RAM-6 GB(i want to improve it to 8 GB...Suggestion on low priced RAM?)

yes if it has a PCI E slot then yes, and every motherboard has that.

Kingston hyper X ram is fairly cheap, you can get a 8gb kit for around $35-$40

It's compatible, but I'd advise against buying the GTX 950. AMD's upcoming Polaris cards (the Rx 470 in this case) will perform much better for the same price.

YEP the RX 480 will Cos $199, and will perform better than a gtx 970.

yes its compatible. but you will be using a lower data bandwitdh cos the vga slot is compatible with PCI express 2.0 and not 3.0. for maximum performance you need a board with VGA slots confirming to PCI 3.0 standard.

When you're running a x16 link you could very well run PCIe 1.0 and not get any performance loss with anything except a Tesla K80 or something. Graphics cards simply don't need that much bandwidth.
