I'm looking to make a major upgrade to my pc, I'll be able to keep my ram, case and HDD so mainly looking to upgrade my CPU, Motherboard and GPU. I have a gtx 960 not yet installed so I'm wondering if it still stands up to current gpu's? And if so what kind of build would you suggest around a 960?
Thanks a lot for your help

please list the specs you have now and the budget for the upgrade.
the 960 is roughly equivalent to a 1050ti. good for 1080P as refresh rates and resolutions increase the quality will drop.
will you be upgrading the monitor soon? if not stay with the 960. I would wait on the GPU till the monitor demands it.

Hi you could always upgrade the GPU later. It should be around a gtx 1050 in terms of performance.
I would recommend getting something like a ryzen 3 or 5, or a pentium - i5, depending on your budget.

Hi there,

Your 960 still compete as it is nearly 2 years old. I have a R9 380 and my card is still performing very well. However, if you want something better I would recommend at 1050Ti or even a 1060.

Best Regards
