is the gtx 980 ti compatible with the msi FM2-A55M-E35 motherboard?

I'm getting an i7 4790k with a gtx 980 ti gaming 6g, but i don't want to buy a new motherboard. Will the 980 ti work with the FM2-A55M-E35 mobo by msi?it has pcie x16 and ddr3 ram which i already have, so i should be good? I just want to clarify before i buy my new specs.

That motherboard won't work with your new i7 4790K. FM2-A55M-E35 is an AMD motherboard. Besides, if you're planning to get a overclocking cpu, get a overclocking motherboard as well.
If you stick with that old cpu, then 980Ti alone will work. But make sure you have the right PSU to power your graphics card.
