So I just bought the H510 and saw that it requires a usb 3.1 gen 2 header for its front panel. I bought the Asus TUF gaming x570 plus and while waiting for it to come in decided to take a look at the manual. The manual specifies that it has a usb 3.1 gen1 header instead of 2. According to this review from TH, it has a gen 2 header: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-tuf_gaming-x570_plus-wifi-motherboard,6273.html. Am I screwed?

Solution
The motherboard does in fact have a gen 1 connection. The cable will fit regardless. Your only issue will be that you won’t get gen 2 speeds from your connections on the top of your case. If this isn’t an issue, I personally wouldn’t care, then there is nothing to worry about. If you were planning to use the front usb connections for really fast connections then I would return and choose a better board.

I guess in this case, ASUS completely screwed up on the advertising then. According to them, they are gen 2. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS-WI-FI/ Thank you for your input. I guess I'll go with the Phanteks Eclipse P400 then.
