Is the Hanns·G HG-281DPB any good?

seriously I have heard some great things about this monitor and some terrible things...

It is going to be used for gaming and watching movies and other normal Computer things, so it really any good

The only real negatives are the contrast isn't that great and the pixel pitch is pretty wide for a monitor/gaming LCD.

But it's incredibly bright, great g2g response time, and it's large (a con for the above but great for movies)

What is the effective difference between this:

The second is less bright but I don't see anything else. From what I've read the brightness of this monitor is very high and needs to be turned down from factory settings anyway. I mentioned the second model in a different post, it's available at Costco for $299.
