Is the i3-4330 compatible with my 1GB Geforce GTX550ti?

Hi, I'm building a budget PC (general usage/browsing/movies/light gaming) and was wondering if the i3-4330 (or possibly i5-4440) was compatible with my 2year old 1GB Geforce GTX550ti GPU? And secondly how would it compare to the Intel 4600 graphics?
Also given that I'm not a heavy gamer is it really worth spending more to get the i5?

No compatibility task .Just use them .

GTX 550Ti is 2x faster than HD 4600 , as my data are showing.
If you want your rig to be upgradable , get i5 .
