I got an i5 2400 as an upgrade from my i3 530 and I am am still getting the same fps as I did with the i3 530 Is this normal?...

Rest of my specs
RX 580 4gb
GA-H61M-S1 (for my i3 I was using a motherboard from a oem pc)
550w 80+ bronze coolermaster psu
2x4gb DDR3 1333mhz (8GB)
240gb Kingston SSD
1tb wd HDD

The games I have been playing are

Post Scriptum (this game actually went down in fps from 30-40 fps with the i3 and 20-30 fps with the i5)
Battlefield 4 (i3 FPS 40 i5 FPS 40)
Arma 3 "Altis Life" (i3 FPS 10-15 i5 FPS 10-20)
Day of Infamy (i3 20-30 FPS i5 FPS 30-35)
Rising storm 2 vietnam (i3 30-35 FPS i5 FPS 30-40)
Unturned (i3 30-40 FPS i5 FPS 30-40)
War thunder (i3 FPS 50-60 i5 FPS 60-65)
Arma 2 Dayz Mod (i3 30 FPS i5 FPS 30-35)
Red orchestra 2 (i3 30 FPS i5 FPS 30)

When I was using an i5 3470 and GT 1030 I was able to get a solid 60 fps and above on most of these games (excluding Arma 3)

you should be outperforming the 1030.
did you re-install windows or just change parts and let windows update do the rest?
when changing the mobo I suggest ALWAYS wiping and re-installing from scratch.
I reinstalled windows from scratch and installed all the drivers and it didn't make a diffrence

Something is definitely wonky then. Swap in the old gpu and see what happens. If your frame rates drop as they should, then you're having cpu / motherboard / issues... Hardware, maybe... But could be a bios setting or something else.
Problem is my friend is using my GT 1030 and due to the whole virus thing I cant get it back to try it

Benchmark your cpu and gpu with passmark. Check to see how your scores are in comparison to that. Check your ram timings and make sure xmp is turned on.

You should be getting around 3800 on your cpu multi, and 1500 single. Gpu should be getting around 8500 I believe. If your numbers are way lower on one of the components, that's where you start.

My bios are very limited, I cant change the memory speed or anything. Also my memory is meant to be 1600mhz stock but seen as it wont let me change it its stuck at 1333mhz
