IS the i7 4790 worse than fx 6300??

Just bought a i7 4790 yesterday and intalled it. I tested my pc and got worse fps than with my fx-6300. I have a r9 270x.
Ark Survival Evolved: Before(medium): 30 fps. Now: 25 fps
Grand Theft Auto( Medium): Before 45 Fps Now: 35-40 fps
Just Cause 3( High): Before: 45 fps. Now: 40 fps
What have i done wrong?
I have seen alot of benchmarks with My cpu/gpu combo
They got like 55 fps in gta 5 on very high

No the i7 is definitely better, must be something in your settings... What are the set ups you are running

No, god no. The i7 4790 is a significant improvement over the 6300, there has to be something else causing this.

Are you sure your settings are identical to what you were using with the 6300? Also, what are your CPU/GPU temps?

Download latest gpu drivers and install raptor let that optimise the settings. Then test

I found out that my cpu is only running on 15% when im ingame
Is that normal?
