I currently have FX8320 @3.5ghz and with me making YouTube videos frequently the rendering is stupid long, a lot longer than the video it self. If I make the switch to intel and get the i7 4790k what render times can I expect? Like based off of a 30 minute video being rendered at 1080p in Sony Vegas.

Solution
Cryorig H7 is 145mm tall vrs hyper212 160mm, has no ram clearance issues, is almost the same price, and out performs the hyper212 by a decent margin.

Basically, it's better.
Oc your 8320 to 4.5ghz it should give you a nice increase in Rendering, a jump to an i7 4790k wont give you much for Your $ you might get 20-30% at most in Rendering time, if you want serious difference then a 5820k or 5960x is what your looking for.

I recommend you get a 30$ aftermarket Cooler and OC to 4.5ghz to see if the little bump helps you out.

i'm running a i7-4790 (locked) with 8 gb ram and a geforce gtx 750 ti card (2 gb DDR5) and just rendered a 34 GB file in handbrake in just under an hour (50-55 minutes), handbrake set to highest quality or "slow" setting

Problem with that. My case is a NZXT Source 210 case and a good aftermarket such as Hyper EVO 212 DOESN'T actually fit. It "Does" if i remove the side pannel, due to the pointy tips on the cooler it won't let you close the case. I am open to ANY Recommendations.
