This is the build i'm considering, but i'm not to sure if i want to overclock or not. I'm a beginner when it comes to all this pc hardware stuff, and i dont feel it is safe for me to mess with something i have no knowledge of. The 4790k has a higher stock speed that the 4790. (4.0 instead of 3.6) i was wondering if the extra speed is worth it. I do plan on doing a lot of work in Adobe software, such as After Effects and rendering videos in Premiere, as well as gaming.

Yes it is worth it! I have a MSI Gaming 7 mobo and the OC Genie automatically put it at 4.4ghz without me doing anything else.
Regardless it's a wonderful cpu. The non-k one is still good, but for $30 more I would go 4790k every time. It should handle your editing software better too.

At one point your eventually gonna want to overclock and the K is overclockable its only 10 bucks more. The higher clock speed and overclocking ability for only about 10 bucks. It's kinda the obvious choice unless your a completely basic user.

ok awesome thanks! 😀 I'm just gonna say, im new to this website but man i am loving this community a lot more than those over at /r/buildapc They aren't helpful at all and only seem to confuse me even more than i already am. What do you think of my build overall? If you don't mind me asking. This is my first time, so i'm just curious if i did a good job picking out parts or not. :3

Is the Hyper 212 EVO fine? i've read on other threads that it seems to get the job done just fine, as long as you dont overclock to much. Just curious as to your thoughts.

Everyone keeps complaining about my case. xD i like it a lot. it looks really cool. (not a fan of the simple and basic look) there is good air flow. and i dont mind the size. I'll have 2 hdd, and 1 ssd... and if i do need more space, then i got the room. 😉

If that's the case you really like then get it. Your PC case is one part that will last the longest.
