I am building a budget system for light gaming and web browsing. Can I use the ASUS H81M-PLUS motherboard

Yes , just make sure BIOS is at lest 2001 , like stated on the support page.

Where can I find this out? It does not state the BIOS revision on the spec sheet.

I3 at 3.6GHz. Is reasonable for low end ( or low screen resolution) gaming

Z97. Useful if you get a processor which can be overclocked eg i5 K or i7 K model
(There is one overclockable pentium model)

What graphics card are you going to get ?


Re bios ask supplier what bios is on board they can look at box to see this information

I am going to be using a 1366x768 22" TV as a monitor. I am using a GT-610, although I will proabaly upgrade later. The only games I really care about running is CS:GO, Minecraft and maybe TS 2015 at 720p.
