Hello,
a friend just gave me an Intel DG33FB motherboard and haven't done a lot of research yet but apparently the best cpu it can hold is a Q9650. Not sure if I should start investing in it although it looks like it'll sure beat my current rig. I'm on a tight budget right now and don't want to spend what little I have on something I'll regret later. It'll mostly be used as a DAW since my old rig can no longer handle the cpu and ram hungry virtual instruments I've been throwing at it lately. If it's worth it, then I'll slowly begin to max out ram and cpu the board can hold. If it's not a good idea, then I'll just hold out until something else comes up. Thanks.
