[SOLVED] Is the intel I7 6700k compatible with MOBO GIGABYTE GA-D3A?

Yes, but that isn't a typical combination. Unlike the i7-6700K, the H110 is a budget chipset not meant for overclocking. Plus, those are old now. You could go with an i5-8400/8500/8600K + B360 motherboard and do just as well or better than the i7-6700K on an H110.

I only ask because I'm trying to trouble shoot a computer that isn't starting. I have a evga 850 GQ Psu, Asus gtx 770 gpu, Intel I7 6700k cpu, Mobo D3A Gigabyte, 4gb, ballistic ddr4 ram. When I press the power button on the case the power led lights up for half a second and the fans turn on for half a second but then stop but the LEDs on the gpu stay on indicating it has power. Any ideas?

I have tried to place the ram in a different slot and have tested the cmos battery for 3v with a multi meter and there has been no change and nothing out of the ordinary. All of my connections are stable and I made sure everything is plugged in right and it's still doing it. I dont belive it's the psu because the gpu was getting power and it held power so I'm trying to find out of it's the board or my cpu. I have another processor that I am going to put into it and eliminate that possibility.

Everything works now the processor switch out solved the issue.

Glad to hear that. Which processor did you switch to?
