I'm building a pc and I wanted to know if the Intel stock cooler is good enough for the i5 8400? (No I don't plan on overclicking any of my components)
My specs:
CPU: i5 8400
MOBO: GIGABYE z370 D3
Graphics Card: EVGA 1070ti SC GAMING ACX 3.0
RAM: 8th (2x4gb) 2666mhz
SSD: ADATA SU700 120gb 3D NAND 2.5
Hard Drive: 2x 1TB WD Blue
PSU: EVGA 550w B3 80+ Bronze
Case: Phanteks p400 tempered glass

This was my thought too.. Stock coolers are loud. Some aftermarket coolers require a plate on the underside of the MB. Installation is best performed on the original build.

If you are using the cooler that came with the Intel processor and do NOT plan on overclocking it - the stock cooler will be enough, no need for an aftermarket one unless, for some reason, the temperatures are higher than normal.
