I have a HP Slimline s5120y, and want to upgrade the video card. the mobo that came with it is a M2N68-LA (NARRA 5). I would like to put a GEforce GT610 in to replace the GEforce 6160se intergrated. The power supply might need to be upgraded as well seeing how it's only 220w. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (the reason is I'm getting really poor fps)

A 610 is compatible with your motherboard, but the minimum power requirements for a 610 is 300w. You'd need to upgrade your power supply, but that is going to be pretty difficult, I'd imagine, because you wouldn't be able to purchase any standard power supply because it wouldn't fit inside the slimline case.

To be completely honest, I wouldn't even try to upgrade because it is just going to be too difficult for what it's worth. Sorry 🙁

World of Tanks. A systems check says I can't run the game, but it does run at 5-9 fps. I didn't mind at first but now it's horrible. I would go better If I knew what the system could handle. I would like to keep my upgrades to around $200(powersuppy vid card possibly ram)

I'm going with the GT610 and a 400watt power supply. I'm told that this card doesn't need power hooked to it, and that upgrading could cause extra heat. So without upgrading even futher this is what I'm going with.

Thank you for your input, and if someone else wants to still give advice I would be happy to hear it.

It's World of Tanks. Right now I'm getting 4-11 fps(really bad)all on low settings. I'm hoping for 20-30 fps.(hopefully better)

Just upgraded power supply and gpu. 400watt ps and a gt610 gpu which is working great. I'm getting 50 to 70 fps on low. I haven't checked medium yet. The total cost was around $110. I know it would be better to have just bought new, but now when I do I'll have a home computer and a computer just for gaming.
