Is the MSI 970A-G46 motherboard a good choice for my build? I could really use some advice.

I am planning on using an AMD FX 6300 CPU, a Sapphire r9 280X GPU, and initially, 8GB of RAM. I definitely wanted Crossfire as an option and the fact that this board also supports SLI made it that much more appealing. Any thoughts?

I'm REALLY trying to keep it as cheap as possible without skimping on quality [isn't everybody:)]. Honestly I'd like to keep the motherboard under $80 if at all possible. I got a great deal on the r9 280X so I have a little wiggle room. I'm located in East Tennessee by the way.

Huh....well what is the entry level price for a board capable of handling such a task? I'm finding it very difficult to pay so much for my motherboard seeing as though my other components are far from high end.....do you have any suggestions for a solid motherboard using my aforementioned components disregarding the Crossfire/SLI support?

I think I'm going to take your advice and go for the single card motherboard. The more I research Crossfire/SLI the more I realize that it is not really the most logical choice for this particular build. Thanks so much for your help.
