Is the new 20 series cards worth it?

Hello, I currently have a gtx 1070 Ti, and a freesync monitor (2560*1080p) and as the new rtx 20 cards were just announced, I’m wondering if it’s worth the upgrade. I currently only get 30 FPS in my flight simulators with the settings on max, but will the 20 series cards push it over 60 FPS? If it doesn’t, I’ll be stuck in the 40-60hz stuttering and tearing zone, and as its a freesync monitor, not g-sync, i would definately like to avoid that zone. So, is upgrading worth it at all, and if so, which card? Thx in advance.

What is the rest of your system specs? I can't think of a flight simulator that can make a GTX 1070ti only get 30 fps. Car racing and flight sims are usually much easier to run hardware wise.

Ryzen 5 2600x
16 GB 2400 MHz RAM
MSi x-470 gaming plus motherboard
Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB SSD



The rest is irrelevant for performance.
My cpu and gpu temps are under 80 Celsius, and the flight simulator is X-plane 11. Hope this helps, thx again.

I checked the system requirements for that game and you should be running that game without any issues. Certainly more than 30 FPS
