Is The Noctua NH-D15 Compatible With These Fans?

I would use the Noctua with the fans that come with it as they are optimized for its layout. If you want Phanteks fans why not get a Phanteks cooler? It's very close to the Noctua in performance.

Thought about that, but the phanteks doesn't fit the case I want and I wanted an easy mounting platform, secufirm, but will the fans mount to the cooler?

I do believe the Noctua is larger than the Phanteks so you might want to check the case again.

I'm not sure about the fan compatibility. Noctua fans are one of their selling points as they are so quiet while moving so much air. I'm not sure anyone has tried using Phanteks fans on a Noctua cooler before! 😀

With the stock fans (150mm height), full radiator height is 165mm (sheer maximum height for the 450D) . With the HP fans (140mm) in hoping to get better ram compatibility due to the extra 10mm and cooling , plus they don't look like they are made in a Starbucks

on the phanteks, the total heigh is 171 while the d15 is 165. The phanteks is smaller when the middle fan is removed

How much smaller? If it's below or equal to 165mm I'll choose it

Yeah, they aren't pretty. Noctua fans always top the performance charts though.

Back to the main question , will the hp fans fit the 165mm Max height and mount on the nh d15?
