Not all hp's will just work with a 750 or 750ti there are a lot of bios conflicts with hp and video cards, the 750ti cards that work best with hp's come from msi, they have great features that help with some of the troubling incompatibility issues with hp desktops. The card I would suggest is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836 It has much larger fans than other low profile cards so they won't be as loud. You will also need to enable secure boot, and make sure the pci-e lane is enabled in the bios before you install the card you also should have the latest bios. Didn't known the free inner measures of your case, but the mainboard is a Micro-ATX and only says that one slot is half -height, the rest seems be full height, and the referece board for the 750 is very short.

Also the size of the 640 you already have is almost the same than the 750 in the nvidia specs
640: 5.70 inches x 4.38 inches x Dual-width
750: 5.7 inches x 4.376 x Double-slot
