Is the OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Power supply compatible with a A8-5500 APU?

A power supply has no idea nor does it care which brand and model of CPU you use. The CPU is not powered directly by the power supply. The CPU gets all of its power through the motherboard's CPU VRM circuit.

As long as the motherboard has the appropriate power connectors and the power supply is able to provide sufficient power to it, along with any PCI Express power connectors that any graphics card(s) may require, then you should be fine.

What is the brand and model of your motherboard and graphics card, if you're using a discrete graphics card?

Chipset model is meaningless. Doesn't tell us anything about the power connectors on the motherboard.

Post the brand and model number of the motherboard.

If all you're ever going to be using is the integrated graphics then you can save some money by buying a lower wattage power supply unit.

The MSI 2AE0 Motherboard has a main 24-pin ATX connector and a 4-pin ATX12V CPU power connector.

The OCZ ModXStream Pro Series 600W (OCZ600MXSP) power supply unit has a main motherboard cable with a 20/24-pin connector and an ATX12V 4-pin CPU power connector cable.

Which graphics card model are you thinking of getting?
