Yes but no overclocking. I think 280x can take upto 295 watts under load.

How much power does 280x consumes?

Is the OP using a six-core Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 130W TDP CPU on an X79 chipset motherboard with the CPU overclocked to 4.60 GHz like Guru3D.com?

The OP is using a multiplier locked Intel Core i5-4460 84W TDP Processor (Typical power consumption: 68.25 Watts).

MSI R9 280X TWIN FROZR GAMING OC EDITION 3 GB [R9 280X GAMING 3G] graphics card only power consumption
