Is the RAM compatible with my motherboard

Hey

Could somebody tell me if this RAM: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1600c9d-16gsr is compatible with my motherboard: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/

I've been told that 99% of RAM works in a suitably aged motherboard, but I thought I should double-check.

Also, someone told me that AMD specific RAM is better because it's not limited to 1.5v. Should I consider purchasing some "AMD RAM".

Any advice is appreciated

Yes it's 100% compatible and a great choice , I only use Gskill.
