Question is the ram compatible with my motherboard?

hi all i'm planning to upgrade my ram to 16x2 so i set my eyes on kingston fury renegade 3600 cl16 the only problem is that the ram is not listed on my mobo's qvl list (asus tuf z490 plus). so does that mean the ram wont work? appreciate the help.

It should work, those lists are pretty limited to what they checked, not nearly all.

Just always buy somewhere with EASY returns like MicroCenter or Amazon. If it don't' work try another kit.

Is that 16 x 2 all from a single ram kit?
If not, you may have issues.

The ram qvl list is ram that was tested on the motherboard at launch. It often is not updated.
Go to the kingston support site and see what ram they support for your motherboard:
https://www.kingston.com/en/memory

Likely, you are ok.
