So I have been searching for a new headset for quiet sometime now, and honestly I want a wireless one.
So I came across the Razer Barracuda X.
I was wondering is it a good headset to buy? does it have surround sound since I play a lot of FPS games etc, does it have noise cancelling or not?

Thank you in advance for anyone who replies, also if there is any recommendation in a similar price to the headset I posted please let me know.

I should mention that I have an external mic so mic quality doesn't really matter to me.

The Razer Barracuda X is a decent mid-range gaming headset for the price. The feature set is fairly limited, considering it is more budget oriented, however, its mostly adequate sound reproduction and alright battery life make it better than other budget headsets. Just keep in mind it doesn't have any surround sound features or ANC like other new gaming headsets. If you want those features, you're going to have to fork over another hundred and fifty dollars for the Razer Barracuda Pro. If you can wait a few months and save up some more cash, I would strongly recommend going with the Pro headset. Not only does it have THX Spacial Audio and respectable ANC as mentioned earlier, but it also has hugely improved audio reproduction (better sound quality), a less intrusive internal microphone (since you aren't using it anyway), and longer battery life. It also comes with other creature comforts like a hard case. If you are on a strict 100 dollar budget, the Barracuda is better than average, but the Pro is definitely worth the extra money.

If battery life is your chief concern, you might want to look into the Razer Kraken V3 Pro. While it does not have ANC, and the audio quality isn't as good here, it boasts over ten additional hours on a single charge, taking the Barracuda Pro's tested 30 hours to the Kraken's 45. However, if you care more about individual features, like ANC, then stick to the Barracuda Pro.
