There are several R5 1600 on market today, one is 1600x (better boost and top MHz) but also 2 base models 1600AE and 1600AF which is built in 12nm and is closer to performance to 2600(x)

Yes it is, but an 6c/12t is better than a 3300X for the future

I mainly play rocket league fortnite call of duty war zone apex legends all on 1080p low settings for high FPS don’t care for graphics

It isn't. 3rd party sellers have price gouged it - it should be 85USD for what is a slightly cut down Ryzen 2600.

At that 110USD price, it's creeping on the Ryzen 3100 and 3300X, and a that point, you may as well get the 3300X.

considering a 2600 is only about $20 more, i'd say it's not worth it. the 3600 has been seen for about $165 or so.

again well worth the extra money if you want 6 cores for either of those over the 1600. bu for the same money, i'd agree with the others that a 3300 would be a much better buy despite being 4 cores/8 threads.

The Ryzen 5 3300x and 3100 are not at msrp, in fact, they cost more than a Ryzen 5 3600 right now, so they are out of the question.

The 1600af performs identically to an R5 2600, so even at $110, it is worth it to save $20 for comparable performance.

The 3600 at $165ish is a better value, but for $110 the 1600af is about the best option.

i haven't even seen them for sale yet so not sure what prices they are going for. but if it's as much as a 3600, then that's a no brainer for sure
