I'm wondering if the extra $120 for the 3800x over the 205 for the 3600x for only about 4% more performance and the 2 extra cores and 4 extra threads. I don't think it is, but I wanted a second opinion.

MB: Asus tuf b450 pro gaming
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2400MHz (When I get the CPU I will get corsair vengeance 16gb 3200mhz)
CPU: Ryzen 3 1300x

HDD: Not sure but it's western digital 1 tb

Solution
Really you should look at the 3700x and compare to the 3600x. There is virtually no difference in performance between the 3700x and 3800x. There is no point paying more for the 3800x, you have to wonder why the 3800x even exists.

Yeah but I think I'm gonna go with the 3600x thanks for the help though. I just think either way I'm not going to get enough of a difference for $100.

On that same site as well, the 3600 is 159.99. Or if you go for the 3600x, it's 179.99. So about 20 bucks cheaper than anywhere else. Also, if you buy one of those CPUs and a board, they give you 20 bucks off the board on top of that. If you have a Microcenter near you, they are hard to go wrong with.
