Is the Samsung 850 Evo SSD (laptop edition) compatible with my build?

So I am building my own desktop and I may end up using the Samsung 850 EVO for my SSD (it is a gaming/recording build), but the one on best buy says it is for laptops, and I am wondering if it would work like normal in my build. I assume it is the same and they are just made to fit their laptops or something. Also I do not have all the parts decided on my build yet so I don't have that list for you.

And for those wondering why I am buying some of my parts through best buy,
it is because I can do payments there so I can get my expensive parts a little sooner, and this SSD is on sale right now for the same price as the other cheapest site!

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

All SSD's are in the same form factor (although you can get some in 3.5" and 1.8" if you really look). They are made to fit both. Your case should have an SSD/HDD slot for the 2.5" form factor. If you have a less modern case, you can easily find/buy a bracket for the SSD.

So yeah, it should be fine.
