No. The G2020 has 2 cores and 2 threads, the i3 3220 has 2 cores and 4 threads. Basically one i3 is hyper threaded the Pentium is not, the i3 also has higher stock clock speeds. Besides that they are pretty similar, if you took one core out of the Pentium and one core out of the i3 and compared them at the same clock speed they would perform the same.
