Is the upgrade worth it?

I currently run an i7-4790k and a GTX 760. The i7 is still good and i'm sure it will be for another year or so, but my GPU is not doing too well. I havn't been able to play many new games because of my GPU. Would it be worth it to upgrade from the 760 to the 1060? Also, what 900 series GPU compares best to the performance of the 1060. Thanks!

The 1060 would be a vast upgrade from a 760, comparable to about a 980Ti.
The 4790k would last much longer than one more year.

a 1060 is not comparable to a 980Ti, more like the 980.
the 1070 is the perfect comparison for the 980Ti, basically the same thing.

and yes, the 1060 would be a worthy upgrade and I think you can keep rocking that CPU for longer than a year. a lot of people are still trying to purchase your CPU on the 2nd hand market.
