Is the upgrade worth the money?

I currently have an AMD FX 8350 and I was thinking of getting a FX 9590. Is this upgrade worth the $270? Are there any better suggestions?

The 9590 comes in as one of amd's worst cpu's for the money.

8350 is pretty solid cpu but a i5 is a better option beyond that.

If you give all your system specs I can take a look to see what you might need for gaming.

If you take a gander at any 9590 review, you'll see that AMD has thrown all reason out the window.
Look at it's TDP and idle temps!It could warm a household in winter!
Stick with the 8350 and save up for a i5,as iron8orn said.

@iron8orn I have the 8350 and a GTX 980 but I don't want to replace my motherboard and everything to change my processor. I just feel like I could be getting some more performance.

Your not alone with feeling this way about having the 8350 with such a powerful gpu..

A aftermarket cooler and a oc could help out.
