Is there a aftermarket back plate that I could install on my monitor?

Solution
that version is not wall mountable. i'm not even sure the base comes off.

is there an aftermarket plate? likely not as there are no screw holes to adapt to vesa.

could you make it work? sure but you risk destroying your monitor so you would need to know exactly what you are doing. its possible to remove the case, find a frame element to tap into and then create an adapter plate to match but honestly its alot of work and you have a pretty good sized risk (if you dont know what you are doing its a very high risk) of causing damage.

the monitor is listed at a bit over 8 pounds without stand so i would likely not suggest anything crazy like gluing a plate to the back of the monitor (although gorilla glue and similar tack is extremely...
if you read the specs on newegg.

vesa compatible: yes

i found this image which i believe is the rear of your monitor (s27b550v)

looks like there are 4 holes for a standard vesa mounting plate. if not, are you sure you supplied the correct version of the product?

what you could do is have two [ shaped brackets with a rubber strip on the bottom and a bolt with rubber spacer on the bottom which you can clamp to the monitor and then mount the vesa monitor mount to that. this would be secure enough however its a bit hokey.

the easiest option is just to buy 3 new monitors and sell this one, movie it to a spare pc or game system or find another home for it. vesa mount capable monitors would make your life so much easier.
