is there a battery in an asus notebook x502c

Hello, when I click on to the battery symbol it said no battery detected ??
Is the a battery in this ??

If you can use it unplugged from the wall, be sure that the battery is in it 😛
This notebook battery seems to be soldered, so it couldn't go missing like this, don't you agree?

This is most likely a software issue. Are you having any issues beside it saying that no battery was detected?

Hi, You may have already found out, but for other Asus X502C users out there with the same problem. The battery on these laptops are not soldered in but the battery pack has a connector that plugs directly onto the motherboard. It is possible that this connector has come loose as I have seen the problem in a X502C that was received through the post. You have to remove the screws on the base and carefully separate the two halves of the base assembly but be careful there are ribbon cables to the keyboard and touchpad. It is possible to just gain access to the battery connector without completely separating the two halves. You should see the connector and it needs to be pushed into it's mate on the motherboard.
