Is there a best driver for GTX 660 TI? Having display driver issues

I`m having problems with a newly installed GTX 660Ti . Display Driver stopped responding issue. I switched from the latest driver to 341.44 from last Feb. and seem, to only get the error a few times a day. Is there a certain driver matched to this specific card. Should it handle the latest driver updates.? If I use the MS graphics driver what does that mean? Sorry, I though this was a simple upgrade , but lots of problems. From reading online it seems this is a very big issue with little solid cures. Any ideas? Thanks

It sounds like you have some software conflicts causing problems. I would first do this...
Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Then download DDU: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/display_driver_uninstaller.html
Run it from safe mode and have it remove any Nvidia and AMD driver components it finds.
Then boot back to Win and install the latest driver for your card and OS: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

You said you just installed the card, is it a new one or did you buy it used? What is your power supply brand and model? Did you do a BIOS update on the motherboard? That can help with some video issues.

Thanks for your comments. I gave the computer to a friend that offered to check the problem. If he can`t fix it I`ll be back Thank you
