Is there a big difference AMD Phenom II X6 1055T and FX 8350?

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU but wondering if there would be a really noticeable change in speed if I upgrade it to FX 8350. What I do with my computer is just some softcore gaming like League of Legends. and surfing internet with a lot of tabs(like at least 10 tabs)

Your current CPU is sufficient for the tasks you do, no need to upgrade.

You won't even notice a difference. LoL can play on pretty much anything and web surfing/video watching barely even scratches one core to do anything. Instead of upgrading just start putting money away for a PC replacement and move over to Haswell (current gen) or whatever is fast and efficient at the time of your next purchase.

The 1055T is a great processor - how much memory do you have in your system at the moment? I find browsing with that many windows eats up RAM more than processor. For speeding up every day tasks, you would probably be better up installing a SSD for your operating system drive and upgrading your system memory. 8GB has become kind of the standard - it's not that you need 8GB, it's that 4GB isn't sufficient for everything most people run.

What kind of graphics card do you have in your PC? That might be another thing to look at upgrading.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6
RAM: 8G
Hard Drive: WD 500G & Samsung 840 SSD 120G
Video Card: Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX

I've been trying to upgrade my video card to an AMD to well fit with my CPU. But it's so expensive! The ones that are better than 550 Ti are at least 200 more. and i believe it isn't a huge difference right?
that's why i came across this idea of getting a new CPU for about 180 bucks to see if it would give me a significant upgrade.

By the way, I also play Guild of Wars II. Tera. sometimes. But not that often.

I bought 8gb RAM honestly because I knew I would be using a lot of tabs on one window. It has not been any problem now. It's been fast.

Matching the brands of your GPU and CPU doesnt make a performance difference, amd & nvidia will work just as well as amd & amd will. Cards like the hd 7790 and gtx 650 ti Boost are noticeably more powerful than your 550 ti and only cost 130-160$
