Is there a big difference between 1800MHz and 2400MHz RAM? If so, what would the differences be?

If all you do is game and web browse the difference won't matter.

If you multi-task a lot, (numerous windows/tabs open) then the higher freq DRAM will show more increases in performance - if you only do one thing at a time then no real difference
