[SOLVED] Is there a big difference between the 2070 super and 1080?

I just bought a new PC, and I use to have another PC with a 1080. But I decided to get a new one with a 2070. It's arriving in a couple of months. Is there going to be a FPS difference? (I'm running with a 144Z monitor.)

While it's a real upgrade, it's not a huge one. If you had a PC with a 1080 and wanted to upgrade to a 2070 Super, I'd probably advise against it. I'd probably wait until the x70 or x80 GPU of the next generation.

I didn't just get a new GPU, I got a new PC with more ram, better CPU, etc. So if I were to get a new PC, I thought it would be nice to get a better GPU. Since I already ordered it I can't change it. Besides that, when is the next generation coming out for the GPU?
