Ive been deciding to upgrade my gpu for awhile now and I've settled on a GTX 1070. However, I also heard the GTX 1070ti was a good card too. I'd like to know how much of a difference the cards really are as the price difference is quite high here. I will mostly use it for games and streaming.

Current PC Specs:
Intel i7 6700
Asus B250 Gaming
G.Skill RipjawsV 16gb
Colorful iGame GTX 950 2GB
1TB Seagate HDD
Samsung 256gb
Corsair TXM 650W
NZXT S340 Elite Black/Red
Cooler Master hyper 212 Turbo Red LED
Corsair SP120 Red x2
Benq XL2430
Viewsonic monitor

Solution
Sure, then GTX1080 is a better card... and so on.

GTX1070 is a significant jump over your GTX950.
You will be very pleased.

If you want, buy a EVGA GTX1070.
They have a 90 day free upgrade program so you can trade it in for full price towards a stronger card.
The 1070ti will average about 15% better fps in games than the 1070. The 1070ti is closer to a 1080 than a 1070. Your resolution and refresh rate has a lot to do with it. At 1080p, the 1070 is more than enough. But if you want to move to a 1440p monitor soon, then the 1070ti will have more longevity.
