Which WD Blue model are you interested in? You are looking for a 1 TB drive right? Keep in mind that the WD Blue models that have storage capacity of more than 1 TB, have 5400 RPM.

Well, you will not really notice any difference, at least performance wise, between two drivers with similar specifications. (both are 7200 RPM ones)

Apart from that, you can't really be sure about reliability as well. Mechanical drives, could sometimes fail without even showing any warning signs before that. This is why, you should always have a good back up of your data.

One thing you can take a look at is the warranty period. For the WD Blue, the limited warranty period is 2 years.
