Is there a catch to the deal on this Dell LCD?

Dell Refurbished SP2309W 23-inch Wide-screen Flat Panel Monitor for $209


First I wonder if anyone has any experience with this monitor. I hear Dell's are a good bang for the buck as far as quality. And it was already on sale last week.

Another reason I ask is because it is a refurbished monitor.

I personally wouldn't buy a refurb unless the model was just released. But then again I've never had a refurb monitor. Tough call, to take the risk or not.

If you are buying it directly from Dell, then I wouldn't worry too much.

Refurbished products on Dell's site could simply be returns that didn't meet customers' expectations. They can also be defective products that actually needed to be refurbished to some degree by Dell so that it can be resold.

As always it is possible to get a lemon, just like when buying something new.

Whats the return policy on buying a refurb? I would think you wouldn't be able to return it which is why I have steered clear of them and also advised so. But I may be wrong.

Is this itself a good monitor? Or is this a good deal none the less?
