Someone (my mother hired her to clean our house last April) stole the 32 gb memory card from my old phone last April.

I had more than 1000 photos in that memory card (photos taken from late 2017 to October 2020) so it sucks that this person stole it.

Anyway- I remember years ago in my desktop computer I saw a folder that said "temporary internet files". I opened some of the photo files in that folder and I saw photos from websites I visited. I didn't save those photos myself. Today I remembered this after I saw that my memory card is stolen.

Months ago before my memory card was stolen- I connected my phone to my laptop computer. At that time- the memory card was in that phone. Did my laptop computer automatically make a backup copy of the photos in my memory card??? Are there copies of those photos from my memory card in a temporary files folder somewhere in my laptop computer???

I intended to make a copy of those photos from my memory card myself before my memory card was stolen but I didn't get to do that because I was deciding where I should make a copy: in my laptop or in my external hard drive?

Now I regret not making a copy of those.

I remember I connected my phone to my laptop computer months ago (with the memory card in my phone)

I opened the icon of my phone at the screen of my laptop computer. I saw a folder of the memory card after I opened the icon. I opened the folder of the memory card and I saw photos inside that folder. I uploaded some of those photos to my Facebook photo album. (but I didn't upload all of those photos to my Facebook album)

Is there a copy of those photos from my memory card in a Temporary files folder somewhere in my laptop computer?????

Unless there was/is some software on your laptop that automatically uploads pictures from your phone to the laptop whenever the phone is connected (and the option wasn't disabled), I think you are going to be out of luck. And they wouldn't be in a temporary files folder, they would be in your laptop's Pictures folder if anything.
