Is there a cord to transfer files from my laptop to my desktop pc? My laptop is window 7 and my desktop is windows xp

If you are only transferring files like documents, pictures, etc..., I would purchase a flash drive- 4GB, 8GB, etc... You don't have to do it all at once if you have a lot of files.
