Is there a device to expand my home router to on-the-go?

I have Verizon’s 100/100 router at home. I switched from Comcast and am used to having internet in the home and hotspots on the go.

My mobile device has no carrier and I only use WiFi. I need to be able to expand the internet connection I have in my home to about a 15 mile radius for travel to work.

Is this possible, is there any device that can do this? Am I better off switch back to more expensive Comcast?

Ps. I’d rather not buy prepaid cards or monthly fees

Your previous external WiFi with Comcast was not from your router.
It was using the guest feature in the router of other Comcast users.

I don't know whether Verizon has a similar function.
