I want to build a pc with i5-9600KF. On the intel site it says that it has a frequency for the ram of 2666 Mhz, but I see that some people recomend ram with 3200Mhz for it.

Is there a difference between 2666Mhz ram or 3200Mhz ram for this CPU?
Intel site for i5-9600KF if you want to check: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...9600kf-processor-9m-cache-up-to-4-60-ghz.html

PS: Is this ram good: Corsair VEngeance RGB PRO 16GB 2X8GB DDR4?

Solution
I have had both 32GB 2666MHz (Kingston HyperX Fury 4x8) and 32GB 3333MHz (Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16) RAM with my current setup (9900K, 32 GB RAM, RTX2080Super).

For gaming, there was not really any percievable difference. Benchmarks were a bit better for the 3333MHz RAM as expected, but when it came to actual gaming performance (1440p @ 144Hz), I could hardly tell the difference.

The 9th Gen Intel CPUs don't benefit as much from fast memory and tight timings as Ryzen currently does.

So for general use and gaming, I wouldn't say there is any noticable difference between 2666MHz and 3200MHz RAM, except for benchmarks.

So the answer depends on what type of applications you are going to be using the computer / RAM for.

EDIT :
Personally, I'd get the 3200MHz RAM though, unless there's a very large price gap between the ones you are looking to buy. Mostly to make them more appealing if you would be tempted to upgrade, and need to sell them again, and for future CPU native frequency support.

Unless you're someone that heavily works on computer and using ryzen cpus, ram speed doesn't matter alot on intel cpu.
