Question is there a difference between these 2 rams

my motherboard is the msi b250 pc mate im looking to upgrade my ram i have 4x4 of the red one but i want 2x8 so i can have 24gb of ram is there a difference between the 2 or just color. also any recommendation for any cooler looking ram that would work with my motherboard.

The first one is faster running at 2666 Mhz, whereas the second kit is 2400 MHz.

Your motherboard only supports 2133 MHz / 2400 MHz

• 4 x DDR4 memory slots, support up to 64GB
- 7th Gen processors support DDR4 2400/ 2133 MHz
- 6th Gen processors support DDR4 2133 MHz

Mixing multiple kits of memory together have no guarantee to work together. If you want to do your own compatibility testing, your free to do so.

I suggest using a single kit of memory.
