Is there a difference in these two GPUs? Is one significantly better?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a GTX 960 to something much more powerful. I was looking at the EVGA 1070TI, which is aroung $350 at the moment. But, my local computer shop told me to get the 1070TI FTW. I was looking at the clock speeds, and such, but it all just seems the same to me. Is there any difference to these two cards besides the obvious of one not having 2 fans. Thank you so much for an answer.

P.S. The shop looked and stated I could get the 1070TI FTW for around $399.99. I assume it was on sale and the sale ended. So the $300 one just really caught my eye. Also, if there are any different recommendations for a card, please feel free to let me know.

So, if at all possible I should attempt to go with the FTW version?
