Is there a difference between the intel 4690k or 4690?? its for gaming please help I need one or the other

yeah, 4690k has an unlocked multiplier, for overclocking.

it is the only difference. thing is, you need the right chipset to overclock too, so you have to get a more expensive motherboard to go along with it to make use of the overclocking.

otherwise, they are the same.
