like i just installed the latest 576.02, cuz i heard that the older driver 572.83 has major issue and game devs recommend against it,
only to find that this driver caused random freezes (you know this sound lag/freeze that happens just before a BSOD, same thing but without a BSOD),
talked on Legion series discord and they told me yeah that is a new issue, and there is a hotfix 576.15 that is only available to download through a dev support post,
and someone recommended to just download 566.36 (dec 2024 driver) and i did that, been stable since but like is there a forum or a list i can return to when i wanna upgrade to just download a stable driver from the start?

Did you sue DDU to remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode prior to installing the drivers? Try that out and see if installing 566.36 after your DDU run helps.

Speaking of drivers, we'll need more context, when posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

If you're on a prebuilt or laptop, include the make, model and SKU to said platform.

hi, thanks for replying, first time posting after a while, yeah i use DDU all the time when i do updates or wanna diagnose issues

im using Lenovo Legion slim 7 16IRH8 (Legion slim 7 gen 8), my specs are
CPU: i9 13900H
Ram: solidered DDR5 5200Mhz 16GB
SSD/HDD: 1TB samsung generic Gen4 NVMe
GPU: rtx 4070 mobile
OS: windows 11 24H2
Monitor: 240Hz 2560*1600 Gsync supported

im using Lenovo's intel VGA driver and for the Nvidia's:
things are a bit special and i did know these details from the legion series discord, i usually DDU then install Lenovo's Nvidia VGA driver that is is usually version 556 something (it has some custom configs that allow special functionality like disconnecting on battery in Hybrid-auto mode), then update to the Latest Nvidia to my liking

in short: i ususally dont touch intel's, DDU Nvidia -> install Lenovo's NV VGA -> update to my liking Nvidia's VGA

VGA: Video Graphics Adapter in Lenovo's term (just Graphics driver)

any yeah i been running 566.36 for a week now with no issue, but in the future there will be game optimizations that may benefit me when installing new games, etc
